The campsite at Vassel gård enjoys an idyllic location by Lake Herandsvatnet, framed by mountains, cultural landscapes, and the unique nature of Hardanger. Here, you get a peaceful camping experience close to nature, while having easy access to popular hiking destinations, fjord activities, and local attractions. 

Pitches for all types of vehicles

Vassel gård has 11 pitches for motorhomes and tents, spread across different areas. The five largest pitches have a firm surface of gravel and hard-packed grass. From here, you can enjoy wonderful views of Lake Herandsvatnet in peaceful surroundings, perfect for both relaxing and spending time outdoors.

There are also seven pitches for smaller motorhomes and tents. These have a slightly softer grass surface and also offer beautiful views of the mountains and the lake. Please note that the number of available pitches depends on the weather, and during periods of heavy rain, these pitches may be closed.

Motorhome pitches can be booked in advance online. Tent pitches cannot be pre-booked, but feel free to call or email us to check availability.
